About us
The Association of Disabled People and Their Parents and Guardians MIRABILIA was founded in 2012 by four mothers raising children with disabilities. At first, it was a self-help group for families who faced the challenges of disability every day, and later grew into an association.
Today, the goal of the association is to help young people with disabilities live a dignified, fulfilling life. We organize leisure activities for young people with disabilities and their relatives – music and physical therapy, creative workshops, summer camps for their families. Young people with disabilities experience significant social exclusion and loneliness. We ensure that they have the opportunity to leave their homes at least once a week and attend leisure activities. We are constantly looking for funding for these activities.
The Latin word “mirabilia” means miracles. Miracles exist wherever you can see them. Members of the “Mirabilia” association believe in the power to see and create miracles in everyday life. We aim to actively raise public awareness about living with a disability, and promote resilience and inclusion among young people.
